Just bought these AKGs today, but I was kinda disappointed because everyone have been hyped these to be "the best headphones in the market". I hope the lack of bass will vanish when I have broke these in with 300 hours of sinewave xD.

I'm driving these with Heed Canamp headphone amplifier.

I took the photo on my tv stand with Sigma 30mm Macro F2.8.

I was just too busy to say what I hated about the sound. Good in upper areas but bad mids and huge lack of bass, 1 good thing of 3 = horrible. Ok ok, horrible is not right word, but lets say I just don't like headphones that doesn't make my head rumble. Good for Jazz, bad gor Goa Trance

yeah, give it time, it was goa on the k701 that almost made me send it back, but i didn't and the bass and pressure arrived soon. A rumbled head is promised. I would never wanna miss it or listen to infected mushroom and other stuff without it. whereas if you want only bass, then consider beyerdynamic, but i would NEVER trade *g*
